Kriti Sanon Reveals She Felt Frustrated On Losing Better Roles To Star Kids
Kriti Sanon has had quite a start to 2024 as she already has two box office hits in the form of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' and 'Crew'.

Kriti Sanon, who won a national award for her 2021 release ‘Mimi’, has had quite a start to 2024 as she already has two box office hits in the form of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ and ‘Crew’. Both the new Hindi movies have emerged as success stories. It remains to be seen what the Bollywood actress does next. The actress might be riding high on the success of her new films. However, her journey was anything but easy.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, the ‘Adipurush’ actress admitted to feeling dejected during her career due to better opportunities being given to “star kids”.
“There was a phase where I was just very restless because I knew that I had way more potential than what I could portray in the opportunities that I had in front of me. I wanted something deeper. I wanted something where I could just show my potential as an actor way more,” she said.
“I was getting frustrated because I was like, I know I can do it; I know I can kill it, but I don’t have it in front of me. At that point, I was also seeing some new faces, some of them belonging to the film background, coming in having not done anything and getting opportunities that I was like, how,” she added.
Further speaking about the challenges she faced, Kriti Sanon said, “I always say this that as an actor ‘Aapko jitna ghada milega, utna hi aap bhar sakte ho. Agar aapko chota vessel diya jayega toh usme aap utna hi paani bhar sakte ho. Agar aapko bada diya jayega toh aap aur bhar sakte ho. So I was looking for that bada vessel for a very long time.”
Kriti Sanon can be currently seen in the new Hindi movie ‘Crew’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Diljit Dosanjh. The film, which features Kapil Sharma in a special appearance, was released in cinemas on March 29. It is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan.
Kriti Sanon will next be seen in ‘Do Patti’, in which she will share screen space with Kajol and TV heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh. Helmed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, ‘Do Patti’ will be streamed on the OTT platform Netflix. Kriti Sanon also has ‘Housefull 5’ and ‘Bhediya 2’ in the pipeline.
