Kareena Shares Unseen Pic Of Karisma Kapoor With Saif Ali Khan On Sister’s Birthday, Says “It’s Been A Tough Year”

Marking Karisma’s 51st birthday, Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post that acknowledged not only their close relationship but also the emotional toll of recent events. The Kapoor family has been navigating a particularly difficult year, marked by the loss of Karisma’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur and the shocking knife attack on Saif Ali Khan.
On Wednesday, Kareena Kapoor shared a touching photo of Karisma with her husband, Saif Ali Khan. Alongside the picture, she wrote, “This is my most favourite picture of you both. To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe… It’s been a tough year for us. But you know what… as they say tough times don’t last… the toughest sisters do. To my Sister, my mother, my best friend…Happy birthday My Lolo.”

Kareena Kapoor’s words seemed to refer not only to the recent passing of Karisma’s ex-husband but also to the traumatic incident involving Saif earlier this year. In January, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Bandra home. He underwent an emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, where a piece of the knife was removed from his body. He was discharged on January 21 and has since recovered.
Adding to the family’s emotional strain, Karisma Kapoor’s former husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur, passed away in London on June 12 following a heart attack while playing polo. He was 53.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have stood firmly by Karisma Kapoor’s side, even travelling with her to Delhi for the final rites and prayer meet.
