Last month, the release date of 'Emergency' was postponed during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut will be playing the role of former India Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, in 'Emergency'.

Earlier, ‘Emergency’ was slated to be released in cinemas on June 14, 2024, clashing with Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming movie ‘Chandu Champion’. Kangana Ranaut had announced the release date, a day after attending the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya in January.

‘Emergency’ has been directed by Kangana Ranaut. The film was previously slated to be released in cinemas on November 24, 2023, but it was postponed due to the changes in Kangana Ranaut's schedule.

The upcoming Hindi film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and the late Satish Kaushik.

Meanwhile, on the film front, the Bollywood actress was last seen in ‘Tejas’. The film, which released on the same day as Vikrant Massey’s ‘12th Fail’, tanked miserably at the box office.
