"Pretty Young Lady...": Amitabh Bachchan’s Special Message For Kavya Maran After SRH’s IPL Final Loss
IPL 2024: Amitabh Bachchan has taken notice of SRH owner Kavya Maran crying in the stands after her side came up short in the summit clash against KKR.
The internet is filled with pictures and videos of Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) celebrations after the Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla co-owned franchise won the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the third time. However, in the latest entertainment news, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Big B, has taken notice of SRH owner Kavya Maran crying in the stands after her side came up short in the summit clash. For the unversed, KKR defeated Pat Cummins' SRH by eight wickets in the IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday to win the tournament for the third time, having previously won it in 2012 and 2014.
After SRH's defeat, owner Kavya Maran was not able to control her emotions, and she was seen crying in the stands. However, Kavya Maran did cheer for KKR as the players and SRK started to take a victory lap around the ground.

Talking about SRH's loss and Kavya Maran's reaction, Big B in his blog wrote, "The IPL Final is over and KKR have WON a most convincing victory .. SRH were simply outplayed .. disappointing in many ways because SRH is a good team and one has seen their very grand performances over the days when they played other matches.”
“But what was most touching to observe was the pretty young lady, .. the owner of SRH, in the Stadium, get emotional after the loss and break into tears, turning her face away from the cameras, so as not to display her emotion... I felt bad for her !! Never mind .. tomorrow is another day .. my dear," he added.
Adding further, Big B said, "Indeed .. to quote that famous line from the film 'Gone with the Wind’ when the character of Rhett Butler, played by the great Clark Gable turns away from his lady love Scarlett O’ Hara, played by the inimitable Vivien Leigh, in the climax and leaves saying : “ Frankly .. I couldn’t give a damn ..!! and she responds as he walks away :’.. i’ll get him back .. after all tomorrow is another day .. ’YES yes , yes ..to all that fail .. do not give up .. for .. 'tomorrow is another day …My love ..!”
As a result of finishing as the runner-up, SRH walked away with a cash prize of Rs 12.5 crore. On the other hand, KKR won the cash prize of Rs 20 crore.
SunRisers Hyderabad also ended up winning the FairPlay award after finishing at the top of the table.
Talking about the IPL 2024 final, SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss, and opted to bat first. SRH, however, failed to get going, and the side was bundled out for just 113 inside 19 overs.
Venkatesh Iyer then played an unbeaten knock of 52 runs off just 26 balls to help KKR register a win by eight wickets and 57 balls to spare.
