Diljit Dosanjh recently called out a social media post stating that he won’t perform in India.

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has issued a clarification after several media outlets reported that during a concert in Chandigarh, the actor said that he would not perform in India due to the lack of proper infrastructure for live shows. The news spread like wildfire, and several publications reported the same. A video of the actor talking about the same also surfaced online. Diljit Dosanjh has now taken to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify that he never said anything about India, and he was only talking about not wanting to perform in Chandigarh.

A user first shared the news on X, saying, “Diljit Dosanjh announces he won't do shows in India due to poor concert infrastructure. He said ‘Here we don't have infrastructure for live shows’. Diljit faced criticism after spelling Punjab as ‘Panjab’. This spelling is commonly used in Pakistan side of the region. I want stage in the centre so that my audience can be around it. Till then no shows in India’.”

Replying to the user, Diljit wrote, “Nope. I said CHD ch Venue di Prob. C So.. jab tak sahi venue nhi mil jata Mai Tab Tak CHD mai Next Show Plan Nhi Karunga..That’s it.”
