Diljit Dosanjh has been shooting for 'Border 2' with Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Mona Singh.

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has found himself at the centre of a storm ever since the international release of ‘Sardaar Ji 3’. The controversy escalated when he shared screen space with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir – an onscreen pairing that drew backlash in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and strained India-Pakistan ties. As outrage mounted, so did speculation that Diljit Dosanjh might be dropped from ‘Border 2’. Boycott calls began circulating online, with many questioning his casting amid ongoing national sentiment.

However, it seems, Diljit Dosanjh is unfazed by the chatter around him as he took to Instagram to share yet another funny reel from the sets of the film. The video showed him having a blast alongside his co-stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Mona Singh.

The Instagram Reel started off with Diljit giving his trademark Punjabi voiceover to a day of shooting on the sets of 'Border 2'. “Tension mitro ko hain nahi hum mazey karengey,” said Diljit as rain played spoilsport.

“Ye Border ke director saab shooting chhor ke humare saath hi baith gaye,” he added.

Diljit Dosanjh was also spotted interacting with Anees Bazmee and Boney Kapoor.

The actor was heard saying, “Bazmee saab story suna rahe hai... mere favourite director hai... idhar Boney Kapoor ji kehte hai ishq di gali vich no entry.” With this light-hearted comment, Diljit seemed to put to rest the speculation surrounding his departure from ‘No Entry’.

After a short coffee break, Diljit started getting ready for the rest of the day. He was then seen speaking to Mona Singh.

For the unversed, the calls for boycotting Diljit grew after he shared with screen with Hania Aamir in 'Sardaar Ji 3'. The film released overseas on June 27 but it didn't hit theatres in India.

FWICE wrote a letter to the makers of 'Border 2' expressing their disappointment with the casting of Diljit Dosanjh in the film.

For the unversed, 'Border 2' is the upcoming sequel to the 1997 blockbuster 'Border'. Directed by Anurag Singh, the upcoming movie stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. The latter had joined the project in September 2023.
