The decade-long wait finally came to an end, over the weekend. Team India led by Rohit Sharma ended their ICC trophy drought as they won the T20 World Cup. In the final, Team India got the better of South Africa by seven runs. As a result, the side registered its second T20 World Cup win, after having previously won the tournament in 2007 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. In the latest entertainment news, Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has dedicated a special shayari to Team India's win. Sharing a video on Instagram, Ayushmann wrote, "Still can’t get over it! #t20worldcup #worldchampions."

In his shayari, Ayushmann Khurrana said, "Semi-finals me Kohli ke muh se nikla tha Ben-Strokes, tab toh alochakon ne laga diye they saare chokes. Aur ye final me dikha diya legend ne apna Virat roop, samjho pyaare yehi hai Jeevan chaaon aur dhoop."
"Pandhya ko bhi pichle do mahine se bahut kuch kaha sunaya, aakhiri over me fir usi ne toh jalwa dikhaya. Aur moochein ho toh Hardik jaisi ho varna na ho aur bowling figures ho toh Bumrah jaisi ho warna na ho," he added.
In his tribute to the Men in Blue, Ayushmann Khurrana lauded Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and others.
He was also seen requesting people to not troll players when they are at their lowest. He also urged the fans to not to differentiate between them on the basis of religion.
After the T20 World Cup title win, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20Is.
Coming back to the T20 World Cup final, India opted to bat first, and posted 176/7 in the allotted twenty overs, owing to a 76-run knock from Virat Kohli.
Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya then put on a death bowling masterclass to help India register a win. Kohli was named Player of the Match while Bumrah was adjudged as Player of the Tournament.
