While the world awaits his next move behind the camera, Aryan Khan is currently making headlines for his performance at a wedding. The son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the nuptials of his best friend, Maahir Mehta, and bride Rhea Nadkarni, where he proved that when it comes to wedding traditions, he plays for keeps. A video shared by the wedding planners, Zesst Events, has broken the internet, capturing a side of Aryan that fans rarely get to see.

In the viral clip, the light-hearted tradition of stealing the groom’s shoes quickly escalated into what the organisers described as a “full-blown mini war”. Aryan was seen clutching the groom's shoe with ironclad determination as members of the bride’s side attempted to snatch it away. The filmmaker was so committed to the cause that he was seen pulling, pushing, and even nearly falling over in the heat of the moment. Despite the physical struggle and the dramatic negotiations involved, Aryan refused to yield, eventually seen sprinting away with the prize in hand to ensure the groom’s side emerged victorious.

The wedding planners perfectly summed up the chaotic energy in their caption, stating, “When the Groom's best friend is the BA****S of Bollywood... this wasn't just joota churai, it was a total dhamaal.”

The footage quickly migrated to X (formerly Twitter), where fans were left in splits by Aryan’s intense competitive streak. One user reshared the video with laughter emojis, asking, “What is really happening here man?” while another admitted, “I thought koi lafda hogaya,” referring to the sheer intensity of the struggle. Many fans praised the young director for his loyalty and for being a good sport by participating so enthusiastically in the festivities.

Whether he is calling the shots on a film set or guarding a shoe at a wedding, Aryan Khan clearly knows how to commit to a role. This playful appearance comes on the heels of Aryan Khan’s successful directorial debut. He recently wrapped up the Netflix web series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, where he served as the director, writer, creator, and showrunner.

The series, which garnered significant buzz, featured a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, and Sahher Bambba. It also boasted high-profile cameos from industry titans like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh.

Meanwhile, King Khan himself is keeping busy with his upcoming project, ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, marking a first-time on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh and his daughter, Suhana Khan.

The action-thriller also stars Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhishek Bachchan. Produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, ‘King’ is currently slated for a major theatrical release this Christmas.
