Arjun Kapoor Reviews 'The Archies', Calls It "Well Crafted And Executed Film", Reveals Khushi Kapoor's Biggest Strength
Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies' released on Netflix today. Here's what Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor had to say.
Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies', which marks the acting debut of star kids Suhana Khan (daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan), Agastya Nanda (grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan), and Khushi Kapoor (daughter of Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi), finally released on Netflix today. Recently, a premiere was held in Mumbai and it was attended by several Bollywood stars. In the latest entertainment news, Khushi Kapoor's brother Arjun Kapoor and sister Janhvi Kapoor have both reviewed the film.
Taking to Instagram, Arjun Kapoor posted a video of himself reading 'The Archies' comic book.
Reviewing the film, he wrote, "#ArjunRecommends, @zoieakhtar @reemakagti1 I have fallen in love with the world of Archies! So creatively and so beautifully you’ve rekindled all the memories of the past for us all. What a well crafted and executed film just full of colour love hope & friendship…I wanted to feel 18 again !!!@khushi05k ur biggest strength is how u perform in silences ur eyes have honesty and are just so pure with ur portrayal… @suhanakhan2 u lit up the screen every time u stepped in front of the camera the ease & the grace just terrific," Arjun Kapoor wrote on Instagram.
"#AgastyaNanda Aggy my boy what a player !!! U played Archie with such elan the boy who can’t stop falling in love !!! Well I’m sure a lot of them are gonna fall for ur dancing skills impish charm and sincerity…@vedangraina ur born to be here what a good looking guy u are… fresh confident at ease and floating on the dance floor with aggy and gang !!! @mihirahuja_ u nailed it with ur timing super job. @dotandthesyllables u brought calmness and simplicity to ur role & @yuvrajmenda urs was perhaps the most sensitive of characters with inner turmoil and u managed to breathe life into it with so much of heart," he added.
Further in his post, Arjun Kapoor wrote, "As dilly would say ‘Thank you’ Zoya & the team of #TheArchies for giving us a way of living out our childhood and our favourite childhood comic book and feel. Young alive & restless."

Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to say that Zoya Akhtar has created a beautiful nostalgic world.
Talking about Khushi Kapoor's character, Janhvi said, "She has my heart. And it's only because of the warmth, honesty and charm that you've given her."

'The Archies' has been co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Sharad Devarajan under their production houses Tiger Baby and Graphic India.
In the film, Suhana Khan will essay the character of Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda of Archie Andrews and Khushi Kapoor of Betty Cooper. Vedang Raina will be seen as Reggie Mantle, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones and Aditi Saigal as Ethel Muggs.
