The entire country cannot stop celebrating as Team India arrived in Delhi after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. The whole contingent has arrived in India, and every member was seen coming out of the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday morning. Maverick batter Virat Kohli, who was adjudged Player of the Match in the final against South Africa, celebrated the win with his family in Delhi. Kohli reunited with his family members, including brother Vikas Kohli and sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, at Hotel ITC Maurya in Delhi. The batter's sister Bhawna shared pictures of the celebration on Instagram.

"Celebrating the win (medal emoji). SUPERPROUD," she wrote as the caption.

Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma took to the comments section to drop a red heart emoji. The reaction is now going viral on social media. 

For the unversed, Team India arrived in Delhi on Thursday morning, and the entire contingent met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

After their arrival, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant were seen dancing to dhol beats. 

The team will now head to Mumbai for a grand homecoming. There will be an open-bus parade at 5 PM. Rohit Sharma and co will then be felicitated at the Wankhede Stadium later in the evening. It is expected that the BCCI will be giving away the prize money of Rs 125 crore to Team India today itself. 

Team India defeated South Africa in the finals of the T20 World Cup on Saturday, and as a result, the side won an ICC event after a gap of 11 years. The team also won the T20 World Cup for the second time, after 2007. 

Team India was stuck in Barbados for more than two days because of Hurricane Beryl, and the team finally departed for Delhi on Wednesday morning. 

After the T20 World Cup win, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20Is.
