Veteran actor Annu Kapoor was asked to comment on Kangana Ranaut being slapped by a CISF official at the airport. Here's what he had to say.

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor has been making headlines for his controversial film 'Hamare Baarah'. The Hindi film has been embroiled in a legal battle after several people filed petitions in the Bombay High Court, claiming that the film hurts the sentiments of the Muslim community. However, after a long hurdle, the film has been finally cleared by the High Court for release. In the latest entertainment news, the makers of the film recently held a press conference, and it was there, that a media person asked the actor to comment on Kangana Ranaut's slap gate row.
For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a female CISF official at Chandigarh airport, when the actress was leaving for Delhi to be a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath taking ceremony.
"Ye Kangana ji kaun hai, please batao na, kaun hai? Zahir ki baat hai, agar aap puch rahe hai to koi badi heroine hongi, Sundar hai kya? Sundar hai?" he asked the reporter.

The reporter then informed the actor that Kangana Ranaut recently became an MP after winning Lok Sabha Election from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, on a BJP ticket.
"Oh ho, wo bhi ho gayi. Baba, abhi to bahut shakti shaali ho gayi hain. Ek sundar hai, toh hume waise he unse jalaan ho rahi hai, kyunki hum to bahut asundar aadmi hai aur uske baad wo powerful hain," said Annu Kapoor.
"Aap keh rahe hai kisi officer ne unhe thappad mar diya, toh unko poori karewahi karni chahiye. Uske against Karawahi karni chahiye, Agar usne wardi peheni hai, wardi peheni thi ki nahi pehni thi? Kangana ji ne haath uthaya ki nahi? Toh bas first-class hai, unko competent authority ke pass jaake FIR darj karni chahiye, kam se kam 4 dhara lagengi uss aurat par," he added.
Coming back to Annu Kapoor's 'Hamare Baarah', the Bombay High Court has now cleared the movie's path for release.
The Court said that it did not find anything objectionable in the movie's content that could be found offensive to the Muslim community or Quran.
Apart from Annu Kapoor, the movie also stars Manoj Joshi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Parth Samthaan, and Paritosh Tripathi.
