Watch: Mannara Chopra, Sophie Choudry And Others React To Kangana Ranaut Getting Slapped By CISF Constable
Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut was allegedly slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport.

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines after getting slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable. Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur at the Chandigarh airport on June 6. As per several reports, the CISF constable was upset with Kangana Ranaut’s comments during the Farmer’s Protest. Since the shocking incident, many celebrities have lent their support to the Bollywood actress and politician. Recently, ‘Bigg Boss 17’ fame Mannara Chopra weighed in on the incident.
In a video shared by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, Mannara Chopra said that physical violence is not the solution.
“Yeah, I saw… it’s really bad yaar. Matlab aise aap… haath uthana is not the solution for anything and at least yaar uniform mein toh aise haath uthana he nahi chahiye. That’s not the solution for anything. That’s very bad,” Mannara said.

Singer and actress Sophie Choudry also commented on the issue and said, “I mean of course jo hua it’s quite shocking and one would not expect that from somebody in uniform. Toh definitely ye hume dekhna padega. We all have opinions… opinion hone mein koi galat baat nahi hai, expressing opinion is not wrong also lekin har cheez ka ek tareeka hota hai. And I think that needs to be maintained.”
Apart from Mannara Chopra and Sophie Choudry, ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ fame Manisha Rani also reacted to the incident. She said, “I think aisa nahi hona chahiye… bilkul bhi nahi hona chahiye. Koi bhi female ho… ya fir female ho ya male ho kisi ke saath bhi aisa nahi hona chahiye. That is totally wrong.”
Actress Elnaaz Norouzi also echoed similar sentiments, saying, “See, violence is something we should… nobody should support obviously. But I don’t know what exactly happened between her and her. So, if I am not there… I am not going to judge. But yeah, violence is not the answer that is always something we all say right.”
Earlier, Uorfi Javed had taken to her Instagram Stories to comment on the matter. “Don't agree with Kangana Ranaut politically but I still feel it ain't right to physically assault someone when you disagree with them. Not cool. Violence is never the answer,” Uorfi wrote.
Several personalities, including Anupam Kher, Mika Singh, Raveena Tandon, and Shekhar Suman, have also condemned the incident.
Journalist Faye D'Souza had shared a post on Instagram condemning the slap incident, stating, “Violence can never be the answer. Especially not in our country that was born out of Gandhi's ideals of non-violence. It doesn't matter how much we disagree with views and statements made by someone, we cannot react with violence, and we should not condone it.”
The journalist also said that “it is particularly dangerous when security personnel react violently while in uniform.”
“Imagine, over the last ten years, if those of us who questioned power were assaulted at airports by constables who were in agreement with that power,” the post further read.
This post was liked by Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Zoya Akhtar, and Soni Razdan, among many others.
The incident occurred on June 6 when Kangana Ranaut was travelling to Delhi, two days after she won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as a BJP candidate.
