In a beautiful departure from the glitz and glamour of film sets, Bollywood actress Ananya Panday recently embarked on a deeply spiritual pilgrimage to the historic Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Maharashtra. Marking her very first visit to one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas, the actress shared an extensive photo dump that captured the serene, ritualistic, and architectural beauty of the ancient site. Ananya took to social media to document the milestone, captioning her experience with a heartfelt, “Har Har Mahadev my first Jyotirlinga, the beginning of the best journey.”

The images revealed a side of the actress that is grounded and reverent, dressed simply yet elegantly in a striking royal blue ethnic suit with intricate white embroidery, her forehead adorned with a traditional yellow tilak.

The photo collection provided an intimate look at the various Vedic rituals Ananya participated in. One particularly moving shot showed her seated on the temple floor, actively engaged in an Abhishek ceremony, pouring holy water into the sacred kund. Another image captured a moment of quiet reflection as she and her mother offered floral tributes into the Kushavarta Kund, the symbolic source of the Godavari River.

The actress also shared detailed glimpses of the temple’s inner sanctum. Ananya dropped a powerful close-up of the The Jyotirlinga, beautifully decorated with fresh marigolds and offerings. She also shared shots of beautifully draped idols in vibrant green and red silks, surrounded by coconuts and traditional lamps. A detailed photo of the Nandi (the sacred bull), draped in red cloth, resting outside the shrine also featured in the dump.

Beyond the rituals, Ananya’s photo dump highlighted the awe-inspiring Hemadpanti architecture of the Trimbakeshwar temple. Even with scaffolding present for restoration work, the towering black stone shikhara (spire) looked magnificent against the hazy sky. She also captured the intricate stone carvings and bas-reliefs of deities that lined the temple walls, showcasing the rich heritage of the 18th-century structure.

One of the most talked-about photos in the set was a soulful selfie Ananya took with a Sadhu, whose forehead was covered in ash and who wore several heavy layers of rudraksha beads.

Ananya Panday wasn't alone in her devotion; her mother, Bhavana Pandey, and aunt, Deanne Panday, were quick to flood the comments with prayer and heart emojis. The post also garnered likes from industry heavyweights like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, Sreeleela and Mouni Roy, further proving that even in the fast-paced world of cinema, there is always time for a moment of divine stillness.

As Ananya prepares for her upcoming professional projects, this visit to Trimbakeshwar clearly served as a reset for the soul, blending tradition with a personal journey of faith.
