"Baap Toh Baap Hai": Ameesha Patel Says Ahaan Panday Can’t Be Compared To Hrithik, Ranbir After Just 'Saiyaara'
Ameesha Patel reacted to Ahaan Panday being compared to Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, stating that he “will surely grow in time in his own way”.
Ahaan Panday has burst onto the Bollywood scene with an impressive debut in ‘Saiyaara’, directed by Mohit Suri and co-starring Aneet Padda. The romantic drama has not only struck a chord with audiences but is also performing remarkably well at the box office. As praise for the newcomers continues to pour in, Bolllywood actress Ameesha Patel has now weighed in on comparisons between Ahaan and top stars like Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor.
During a recent Ask Me Anything session on X (formerly Twitter), a fan asked Ameesha Patel whether she had watched ‘Saiyaara’ and what she thought about Ahaan being likened to Hrithik and Ranbir.
The fan wrote, “Amy mam.. Miss this #AskAmeesha session. One question from me, Have you watch Saiyaara film? So much hype going on.. Been seeing they are all comparing the new actor with Hrithik Roshan & Ranbir Kapoor. What do you think about this? Any comment?”
Ameesha responded candidly, writing, “I haven’t seen the film but I wish them luck . Ahaan as per is v promising actor .. but baap tho baap hai and beta tho beta hi hoga . Dugu is a WAR ahead from most of the stars.”
She further added, “Ranbir is a ANIMAL of a star.. I’m sure it will take new comers a lot of time to reach there and not many can become a RANBIR .. and why put pressure .: Ahaan will surely grow in time in his own way and we wish him all the luck.”

A few days earlier, she had extended her best wishes to the ‘Saiyaara’ team via X, writing, “Wishing the Saiyaara couple ahaan n Aneet all the best !! May u continue to create GADAR at the box office in the future films as well !! KAHAA NAA PYAAR HAIN. Shine bright always n welcome to the movies.”
Notably, Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan made their debut together with ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ in 2000, while Ranbir Kapoor’s launch vehicle ‘Saawariya’ may have faltered commercially, but it made him an instant star. Echoing that trajectory, Ahaan and Aneet are now the latest newcomers creating a buzz.
