Netizens Praise Alia Bhatt For Calling Out “Women Want Money From Men” Remark On Samay Raina's ‘Latent 2’. Watch
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari recently appeared on 'India's Got Latent 2'.
Bollywood actresses Alia Bhatt and Sharvari recently appeared on 'India's Got Latent 2' to promote their upcoming film 'Alpha'. Fair to say, the one-hour episode has gotten the internet talking. The opening episode of the second season premiered simultaneously on YouTube and Netflix on Saturday, June 20. Both Alia and Sharvari let their guards down and were more than willing to take jokes on themselves. The episode started with comedian Samay Rana joking that Alia's appearance was the high point of Latent and the low point of the actress' career.
However, there was one moment where Alia took a bit of offence at what was said during the show as one audience member seemed to have gotten on her nerves. During a conversation, Samay Raina asked Alia, “Ladkiyon ko sabse jyada kya pasand aata hai ladkon mein?”
The ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actress was just about to respond, but an unidentified guy shouted, “Paisa.” This comment riled Alia up, and she chipped back, asking, “Kaun bola ye?” Samay then displayed his quick wit, saying, “Koi areeb aadmi hoga.” This response resulted in both Alia and Sharvari cracking up.

Fans online are now loving Alia's response, and even Samay is being praised for putting the guy in his place.
"I love how Alia reacted quickly, and Samay probably had flashbacks, so he stepped up," wrote one user.
"The fact that it triggers them so much is because they don't even make enough for themselves," commented one user.
"Samay is fully aware now whatever happened to Pranit More, he's like no more controversy," wrote one user.
"I have to give this to Alia for calling him out, Samay was not going to say something at first. When Alia called him out, he (Samay) took a stand. Actually, Kudos to both," wrote one user.
"That Pranit More guy should learn from Samay's comeback," commented another user.
Many people also targeted another comedian, Pranit More, who is facing flak for not stepping up when an audience member made a cross 'Rs 370 biryani remark' during one of his stand-up shows. The netizens are highlighting how Samay Raina is different from Pranit More.
The latest episode of Latent also featured Sharvari brutally roasting Samay Raina. During a segment, Samay asked Sharvari, "What are the three things you want to do before you die?" Replying to the comedian, the 'Alpha' actress said, "One is to have a hit, second is to hit you, and third is to never get hit on by you." As soon as she finished the sentence, the audience broke into laughter and cheered for her.
‘Alpha’, co-starring Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, is set to release in theatres on July 3, 2026.
