It is not like it has just started to happen after the 2000s. Back in the day as well, you had couples like Ajay Devgn-Kajol, Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna, and Dharmendra-Hema Malini, who found love on the sets.

1. Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are two of the best actors we have in Bollywood currently, and the duo is truly a power couple. Not many people know that Ranbir Kapoor had visited the sets of Alia Bhatt's debut film 'Student of the Year', and it was there that Ranbir joked with Karan Johar about whether he should marry Alia Bhatt.
Karan Johar had revealed on Koffee With Karan's 7th edition that Ranbir Kapoor asked him, "Should I marry her (Alia)?" During the shooting of 'Brahmastra', the love story between Alia and Ranbir Kapoor started brewing. "When I was single after a very long time, everyone around me, my sis and friends said you and he (Ranbir) are going to be together. We talked about it on our flight. We were seated together and then something went wrong with his seat. Later, his seat got fixed and when we exchanged notes. The vibe started there only and the rest is history," Alia Bhatt had said on 'Koffee With Karan'.
2. Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the most loved Bollywood couples and last year, the duo broke the internet after they made an appearance on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. The duo opened up on their marriage and what their initial few days of dating looked like.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone fell in love with each other while filming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyaan Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela'. After that, the duo shared the screen in 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat. Finally, the duo tied the knot with each other in Italy in 2018 in a dreamy wedding. Recently, the duo shared the screen in Kabir Khan's '83' as well.
3. Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani made everyone fall in love with their crackling chemistry in the Prime Video film 'Shershaah'. It was during the shooting of this film that the duo started dating each other. In 2022, the couple finally tied the knot with each other, in a dreamy wedding in Rajasthan. Well, who can forget their dreamy pictures from the wedding?
During Koffee With Karan's 8th edition, Kiara said, "You know when Sid came to that episode (last year's Koffee With Karan episode), we had just come back from Rome where he proposed to me. My parents weren't there. It was our first family holiday with me and his family. I had a little bit of inclination that he would propose. I told him that you have to speak to my parents and he said are you kidding me? I said, yeah, you first ask them and take their permission, let's do it like the right way. They will be happy. My mom unfortunately had COVID so she couldn't travel with us. So I went with his parents."
4. Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are poles apart when it comes to their personalities, but the duo has been married to each other for more than two decades now. They are parents to two children -- daughter Nitara and son Aarav. However, not many people know that the duo had first met during a photo shoot for Filmfare Magazine.
It was then that Akshay Kumar ended up falling in love with the actress-turned-author, and there was no looking back for the duo.
5. Dharmendra-Hema Malini
Dharmendra and Hema Malini have been married to each other for more than 40 years, but still, they remain to be one of the cutest couples around. For the unversed, the duo first shared the screen in the 1970 film 'Tum Haseen Main Jawan', and it was then that the couple fell in love.
However, Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur with whom he had two sons -- Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. After a few complications, Dharmendra and Hema Malini finally tied the knot with each other in 1979. Before tying the knot, Dharmendra and Hema Malini made everyone crazy through their chemistry in 'Sholay', which was released in 1975. Dharmendra and Hema Malini are parents to two daughters -- Esha and Ahana.
6. Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been married to each other for more than 15 years, and the duo are parents to a daughter Aaradhya. The duo has collaborated on several films such as 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ke', 'Kuch Naa Kaho', 'Guru', and 'Dhoom 2'. As per several reports, the love story between the two blossomed during the filming of 'Bunty Aur Babli's item song 'Kajra Re'.
After the filming of 'Guru' was completed, Abhishek Bachchan proposed to Aishwarya, and the duo finally tied the knot with each other in 2007.
7. Ajay Devgn-Kajol
Kajol and Ajay Devgn starred in several movies in the late 90s and early 200s. The duo was appreciated for their chemistry in projects like 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' and 'Raju Chacha'. The duo eventually ended up falling in love with each other during the shooting of 'Hulchul', and Kajol and Ajay Devgn finally married each other in February 1999.
The couple is now parents to two children, daughter Nysa, and son Yug. Their love story is still going strong, and after many years, the duo continues to joke about their marriage, and fans just love their candidness.
8. Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are truly a royal couple. Sparks flew between them when they began shooting for Yash Raj Films' 'Tashan' in 2008. Four years later in 2012, the duo decided to get married to each other. They are now parents to two children -- Taimur and Jeh.
During Koffee With Karan's 8th season, Kareena spoke about her love for Saif, and speaking about it, she said, "What does Saif mean to me? Saif is my entire being, my entire universe, my whole life revolves around my Saif. My eyes well up every time I talk about him because he is my life. My favourite memory will always be the first time I met Saif. Because he was sitting on top of a makeup vanity van in Ladakh without his t-shirt and I was like ‘Who is that guy who is sitting on top of a vanity van?’ and they were like ‘It’s Saif’ and I looked closer and I was like ‘my god, that’s Saif’. That was the moment I lost my mind and that was it.”
9. Bipasha Basu-Karan Singh Grover
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover met each other on the sets of the horror film 'Alone' in 2015. The duo was coming off losses in their love lives. Karan had just divorced actress Jennifer Winget while Bipasha Basu was coming out of a nine-year relationship with actor John Abraham.
However, Karan and Bipasha found love in one another, and they finally tied the knot in a Bengali ceremony in 2016. The duo is now parents to a daughter, Devi.
10. Richa Chadha-Ali Fazal
