Taking to Instagram to share the new promo for ‘The Traitors Season 2’, Karan Johar wasted no time setting a dramatic tone. Reflecting on the intense first season, he said, “Ek saal beet gaya, par kuch dhokhe abhi bhi utne hi taaze hain. Betrayals that are so iconic they need to be put in a museum of The Traitors.” Continuing his playful yet sharp commentary, the filmmaker took a hilarious dig at actor Ashish Vidyarthi, who was often caught sleeping by audiences during Season 1.
Karan then revealed the sheer scale of the new season, announcing that 21 players would be competing in the treacherous game. He proudly described the new contestant line-up as "killer."
When introducing Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat, Karan brought his signature flair, teasing, “Murder karna toh inki fitrat mein hai. Yahan pe bhi yeh murder karengi ya...?” The spotlight then turned to stand-up comedian and recent reality TV sensation Munawar Faruqui, with Karan rightfully calling him, “Reality shows ka badshah.”
Adding to the chilling atmosphere of the game, Karan warned that while the contestants would play the game, they would also play with emotions. "Some will kill, and some will get killed. But one thing is guaranteed – betrayal," he declared. "The palace is craving for some new meat. Get ready for a bigger round of betrayal."
