'Jubilee' trailer: Aparshakti Khurana tries to make it big in the world of showbiz.

Amazon Prime Video and director Vikramaditya Motwane on Friday unveiled the trailer for their upcoming show titled 'Jubilee', slated to release on April 7. The show stars Aparshakti Khurana, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sidhant, Ram Kapoor and Prosenjit Chatterjee in pivotal roles and the series will tell the story of how film industry during the 1950s and 1960s was filled with greed and jealousy.

In the trailer, we can see Aparshakti playing the role of Binod Das, who is a trusted man of a film studio. He is then sent by the owner of Roy Talkies, who is played by Prosenjit Chatterjee, to bring his wife's lover and star in the making Madan Kumar.

However, a chain of events unfolds when Madan Kumar dies in an accident. When he passes away, Aparshakti's character takes his place.

The show is set in the backdrop of Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1947 when Hindi cinema was just finding its groove.

While speaking about the show, director Vikramaditya Motwane in a statement had said: "While the series is set in that celebrated era of cinema, at its core, Jubilee is a very human story, with narrative themes that will resonate with everyone – which is what drew me to the story in the first place. We’ve painstakingly researched each aspect of the series to remain true to its era.”

'Jubilee' is a ten-episode series, which has been divided into two parts.

The first part comprises five episodes and it will start streaming from April 7 and then the remaining five episodes will start streaming, beginning April 14.
