'Trial By Fire' had released in Netflix in January 2023, and ever since it dropped on the platform, the show met with a thunderous response. The show is based on the Uphaar cinema tragedy and the performances by Abhay Deol and Rajshri Deshpande bowled everyone over. However, the biggest praise has come for Rajshri Deshpande, and it is from none other than Hansal Mehta who has been mighty impressed.
Hansal Mehta who directed Rajkummar Rao-starrer 'Shahid', said that Deshpande deserves an Emmy for her performance in the show. In 'Trial By Fire', Deshpande played the role of Neelam Krishnamoorthy.
Taking to Twitter, Hansal Mehta wrote: "Met @rajshriartist last evening and while I got choked talking about her performance in the excellent Trial by Fire on @NetflixIndia. I must reiterate here that for me it is one of the finest performances seen in years. What an actor. Deserves an Emmy etc. Hands down."
