Veteran actor and comedian Satish Shah’s sudden demise on October 25 due to kidney failure has left the film and television fraternity in deep shock. Best known for his iconic comic timing and unforgettable performances, the ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ star reportedly passed away at the age of 74 after suffering health complications following a kidney transplant. His final moments and emotional farewell have left an entire generation of fans heartbroken.

According to reports, Satish Shah collapsed on Saturday afternoon while having lunch at his Mumbai residence. He was immediately rushed to Hinduja Hospital after receiving CPR in the ambulance, but doctors could not revive him. His manager, Ramesh Kadatala, confirmed that the veteran actor had undergone a kidney transplant a few months ago but had developed an infection that worsened his condition. His last rites were performed on Sunday morning at a crematorium in Vile Parle, with his family, colleagues, and close friends in attendance.

The atmosphere at Satish Shah’s funeral was heavy with grief, especially as his ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ co-stars gathered to bid him a heartfelt farewell. Actors Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghvan, Rajesh Kumar, JD Majethia, and Deven Bhojani stood together beside his pyre, singing the beloved show’s theme song in his memory. The emotional gesture left everyone teary-eyed, with Rupali visibly breaking down mid-song as JD Majethia gently consoled her, urging her to smile while saying goodbye to their beloved “Indravadan Sarabhai”.

Ever since the video went viral online, several social media users have reacted to it. One heartbroken user commented, “Broke my heart. But it's a fitting farewell to a fine actor who made Indravadan so memorable.”

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kajol, and Farah Khan expressed their condolences online, remembering Satish Shah as one of Hindi cinema’s finest comic actors.
