Virat Kohli has had a good couple of months, beginning with Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The batter first finished as the leading run-getter in the T20 tournament, and then he went on to win the T20 World Cup with Team India. He was also adjudged as Player of the Match in the final against South Africa. In the latest trending news, the former India captain has now become the most valued celebrity in India, surpassing Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh. As per Indian Express, Virat Kohli's brand value has skyrocketed by nearly 29 per cent, reaching a staggering USD 227.9 million.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is at the second spot with a brand value of USD 203.1 million. SRK is in third spot with USD 120.7 million while Akshay Kumar (USD 111.7 million) and Alia Bhatt (USD 101.1 million) are at the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.

The other names on the list are MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan.

For the unversed, a celebrity's brand value is calculated after taking social media power, endorsement history, good press and awards, staying trendy, and career success, into account.

Speaking of Virat Kohli, he was recently spotted attending a prayer meet in London, UK, with his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.

This video surfaced amidst reports of Virat and Anushka permanently moving to London. In 2023, Virat and Anushka had also spent some time in London, and there were reports suggesting that Anushka gave birth to Akaay in London in February 2024.

Virat Kohli had announced his retirement from T20Is after India won the T20 World Cup after beating South Africa in the final in Barbados. This was India's second T20 World Cup title win, having previously won it in 2007.
