Sobhita Dhulipala Opens Up About “Blissful” One Year Of Marriage To Naga Chaitanya
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got married on December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios.
It has been exactly one year since actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on December 4. To mark their first wedding anniversary, the couple released a special glimpse from their wedding video, where Sobhita made a touching declaration about her husband.
In the anniversary video, Sobhita is heard saying that while she doesn't believe people are inherently incomplete, “In his absence, I would not be full.” And now, she reflected on her “blissful” one year of marriage while speaking to News18.
Speaking to News18 about that specific line, the actress admitted she was “feeling quite emotional” at the moment. She clarified that while some people feel self-sufficient early on, others take time to realise they don't need someone to feel complete. However, she emphasised the beauty of longing.
“But in that journey, while we reach there, I think there is a longing for someone — I guess someone who complements us, someone who’s the yin to your yang or yang to your yin. And it’s not like they come and like complete you, but through them you realise those parts of your personality. So, in that longing is where I think a lot of love is born,” said Sobhita.
When she first married Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita had plans to take it easy and explore her new home city of Hyderabad. However, reality had other plans. The actress revealed that she has been incredibly busy this past year, shooting for two different films in Tamil Nadu.
When asked how the couple manages to make time for each other amidst such hectic schedules, Sobhita offered a simple yet profound perspective: “If you like something, you like to do something, you will make it happen. And it will feel easy.” She noted that if the desire isn't there, even the most convenient tasks can feel “tough”.
Reflecting on the past one year, Sobhita described being married to Naga Chaitanya as “blissful.” She expressed that the relationship has left her feeling “greatly empowered” and “very inspired” creatively.
For the uninitiated, Sobhita and Chaitanya dated for two years before their 2024 wedding. They managed to keep their relationship largely under wraps, though eagle-eyed fans often spotted them on vacations together. They only went Insta-official when they announced their engagement in August 2024.
Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu from 2017 to 2021. Interestingly, just days before Chaitanya and Sobhita’s first anniversary, Samantha also began a new chapter. She married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in Coimbatore on December 1.
