In the primary picture, Malavika can be seen beaming in the back seat of a luxury car, clad in a gorgeous golden silk saree. The post quickly garnered over 123K likes and featured a sweet comment from singer-actress Jonita Gandhi, who notably plays the role of Geetha – the English teacher and wife of Fahadh Faasil’s character, Suriya, in the film. Malavika’s caption detailed her absolute joy in dressing up as a Tamil bride, collaborating once again with her Master makeup artist Pallavi, and finally sharing screen space with her friend, powerhouse actor Fahadh Faasil.
The carousel gave fans a deep dive into her highly traditional, elegant look. A couple of close-up selfies highlighted her stunning bridal makeup and heavy temple jewellery, including a prominent matha patti, heavy golden jhumkas, and a delicate nose ring. These intricate details can be admired in several close-up shots, with one featuring a playful "Shooting for something fun" text overlay. The actress also shared two short, engaging clips. In one video, viewers got a glimpse of her getting ready in the vanity van as her team carefully touched up her flawless look. In the second clip, she spoke directly to the camera, saying, “Hello, I thought I'll give you a closer peek into the look... it's a nice look. And it was a fun scene.”
Several photos from the set provided a glimpse of the on-screen dynamic between Malavika and Fahadh Faasil. In a series of candid shots, the duo can be seen standing casually beside a sleek black BMW. Fahadh, dressed comfortably in a brown shirt and sunglasses while holding a cigarette, engaged in an intense yet seemingly fun conversation with Malavika, who struck a serious, crossed-armed pose in her full bridal attire. Malavika noted that working with Fahadh – whom she affectionately calls "Fafa" – was a major highlight of the project, as they had been looking for the right film to collaborate on for years.
The actress also made sure to show off the intricate details of her stunning costume. One picture beautifully captured the back of her ensemble, showcasing her long, thick braid heavily adorned with fragrant jasmine flowers and a traditional gold Jada Billa, along with the heavy stone embroidery on her fitted blouse. Additionally, a side-profile look indoors emphasised the golden vaddanam (waist belt) that perfectly tied the royal outfit together. A beautiful front-facing selfie and an adorable shot of her forming a heart shape with her hands while seated in her car perfectly captured her enthusiasm.
Adding to the behind-the-scenes authenticity, another photo featured a candid shot of Malavika deeply engrossed in reading the script from a clipboard alongside a crew member – presumably director Aakash Baskaran – all while her hair was being meticulously adjusted for the next take. A final image from the set showed the actress seated gracefully at a wedding mandap setup, wearing a thick pink and white rose garland, flashing a gentle smile as she prepared for the wedding scene.
Ultimately, Malavika described the experience of working with the young, dedicated, and energetic crew of ‘Idhayam Murali’ as having a wonderful "back-in-college energy". While fans eagerly wait for a full-fledged movie featuring Malavika and Fahadh as a leading pair, this charming cameo in ‘Idhayam Murali’ has certainly provided a delightful cinematic treat for audiences.
