Fans In Meltdown As Australia Cricketer Reacts To RRR's Historic Triumph At Golden Globes 2023

SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' scripted history on Wednesday as the movie's song 'Naatu Naatu' became the first Asian song to win at Golden Globes.

David Warner congratulated 'RRR' makers for their triumph at Golden Globes 2023.

'RRR' is having quite a run in the West, and the pan India film has found an acceptance like no other. The movie got a major shot in the arm as 'Naatu Naatu', a track from the film won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes 2023. What makes this victory more memorable is that the song defeated the tracks sung by major stars such as Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

Australia's left-handed batter David Warner also congratulated the makers of 'RRR' on the historic moment for Indian cinema.

He took to Instagram to post a photo of lead stars of 'RRR' -- Ram Charan and Jr NTR, and he captioned the post as: "Congrats and well done on the award. #rrrmovie #naatunaatu."

This congratulatory post sent Instagram in meltdown and the fans lauded Warner for taking out time to wish the makers of 'RRR'.

"Thank u Alluri David & Komaram Warner," wrote one user.

"Congrats to you too na, you must be feeling great being a part of the Telugu Film industry," wrote another.

"David bhaiiii.. u come Tollywood.. i will introduce you to Rajamouli," another fan stated.

"We want your steps from this movie sir.....," requested one user.

Warner has featured in various hilarious reels on his Instagram account where he tries to inact famous movie stars such as Allu Arjun, Prabhas and many more.

‘Naatu Naatu’ composer MM Keeravaani had accepted the award on stage, presented by ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega.

'Naatu Naatu', a dance number featuring stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan, was competing against Taylor Swift’s 'Carolina' from 'Where the Crawdads Sing', 'Ciao Papa' from 'Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio', Lady Gaga’s 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick', and 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', performed by Rihanna.

‘RRR’ was also nominated in the ‘Best Non-English Language Film’ category. However, this was won by ‘Argentina, 1985’.

The Golden Globes 2023, hosted by Jerrod Charmichael, was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
