Entertainment news: 'Lal Salaam' has been directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya.
The world is waiting to see Rajinikanth back on the silver screen. The megastar will be returning to the theatres with his latest movie titled 'Lal Salaam'. The first look of Rajinikanth from the new movie was shared on social media recently. Lyca Productions, the banner backing Lal Salaam revealed the first look of the actor as 'Moideen Bhai’ from the film. For the unversed, 'Lal Salaam' has been directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya.
The movie also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. The film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman.

Reportedly, Rajinikanth will be featuring in the movie in an extended cameo.
The release date for 'Lal Salaam' has not been revealed yet, however, as per reports, the movie would be releasing in the theatres later this year.
Aishwarya had made her directorial debut in 2012 with Dhanush-starrer '3'.
Rajinikanth was last seen in 2021 release 'Annatthe'. The actor is currently shooting for action-comedy 'Jailer', which is being directed by Nelson.
'Jailer' is slated to release in the theatres on August 10 this year.
