'Baahubali' Star Speaks About Alleged Falling Out With Rajinikanth
'Baahubali' star Sathyaraj has finally opened up about his alleged falling out with South superstar Rajinikanth.
It has been rumoured for a long time now that 'Baahubali' actor Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth had a fallout during the 90s and the duo then stopped working together after starring in the blockbuster film 'Mr Bharath'. Sathyaraj's speech during the Karnataka government was also considered to be a dig at Rajinikanth. In the latest Indian celebrity news, Sathyaraj has finally addressed these rumours, saying there is no issue between him and the 'Jailer' actor. Speaking to Indiaglitz, Sathyaraj said that he was supposed to act with Rajinikanth in 'Sivaji' and 'Enthiran' but he ended up turning down the offer as he felt there wasn’t any substantial scope in them for him.
“After I turned a hero (he started his career doing villain roles), I was approached for two Rajinikanth films. The first one was Sivaji and the other was Enthiran. I was approached to play the role of Danny Denzongpa (the evil scientist who ends up corrupting Chitti Robo). I wasn’t satisfied with both roles. Otherwise, what problems do we have," Indian Express quoted Sathyaraj as saying.
For the unversed, Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth are now teaming up for the film 'Coolie', which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The makers are yet to officially confirm Sathyaraj’s presence in the film, but the actor had ended up giving it away in the promotion of a film called 'Malai Pidikatha Manithan'.
When asked about the role, Sathyaraj said he can’t reveal anything about it.
'Coolie' marks the 171th film of Rajinikanth’s career. The teaser of the film revealed that the film has a lot to do with smuggling.
However, the story and other details of the film are still under wraps. 'Jawan' fame Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. The movie will go on floors once Rajinikanth is back from his ongoing trip to Himalayas.
Other than Coolie, it is rumoured that Sathyaraj is also a part of Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. 'Sikandar' also stars Rashmika Mandanna, and it is being backed by Sajid Nadiadwala.
