Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 171' has been titled 'Coolie'. The collaboration between Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj has received an intriguing title, and in the latest entertainment news, an announcement video has also been released. The clip is a perfect callback to many of Rajinikanth's previous movies. For the unversed, Thalaivar played the role of a coolie in 'Uzhaipaali' (1993), 'Mannan '(1992), 'Mullum Malarum' (1978), and many other films.
In the teaser, Rajinikanth can also be heard singing a song, titled 'Siva Sambo'. For the unversed, 'Siva Sambo' is a song from Rajinikanth's film with Kamal Haasan, Ninaithale Inikkum (1979).
The teaser also features a banger of a background score. Looks like, Anirudh Ravichander has found his mojo back. In the video, several people can be seen in a factory working with gold. It is then that one of the workers receives a call that an unknown person has breached security, and they should be careful.
Rajinikanth then makes a power-packed entry and he starts beating up the workers inside the factory. The entire video has been shot in black and white, and only the gold colour is visible.

Earlier, fans were speculating that 'Coolie' will be a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe, however, the director had clarified that the upcoming Tamil film has nothing to do with his cinematic universe.
For the unversed, Lokesh Cinematic Universe has films like 'Kaithi', 'Vikram', and 'Leo'.
Other than the title, the rest of the cast and crew for 'Coolie' is yet to be revealed.
The shooting for 'Coolie' is slated to begin in June this year, and the new Tamil film will be releasing in cinemas in 2025.
On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in his daughter Aishwarya's directorial 'Lal Salaam'.
