Amid 'Jailer' blockbuster run, Rajinikanth says he found the movie to be "average."

Superstar Rajinikanth returned to the big screen earlier this year with 'Jailer'. The new Tamil movie released in theatres on August 10, and it has gone on to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films in history, and it also broke several box office records. In the latest entertainment news, the cast and crew of 'Jailer' celebrated the success of their movie, and during his speech at the success meet, Rajinikanth said that he felt the movie was "average" before the re-recording was done.

Rajinikanth also said that it was Anirudh Ravichander's music that made the movie a blockbuster.

“I watched the film first without the re-recording. I then asked Sembian sir and Kannan sir about their opinions on the film. Kannan was all praise. I told him, 'Nelson is your friend and you will obviously appreciate him.' I then asked Sembian and he said the film was average," Rajinikanth said, as per Galatta.com, reported Hindustan Times.

"But, the film before the re-recording was done, was average to me too. However, the manner in which Anirudh lifted the film was, 'My God'. He transformed Jailer almost like a bride-to-be after makeup. Superb,” he added.

Kalanithi Maran, the owner of Sun Pictures, had recently gifted luxury cars to superstar Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander for making 'Jailer' a blockbuster.

Recently, a success meet was also held and gold coins were gifted to all the crew members who were associated with 'Jailer'.

Apart from Rajinikanth, 'Jailer' also stars Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan and Yogi Babu.

With 'Jailer', Rajinikanth returned to the silver screen after a gap of two years. The movie is also Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar.

Talking about Rajinikanth, the actor will next be seen in 'Lal Salaam'.
