Public safety at celebrity events is under the scanner once again. Just days after actress Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed and manhandled at a song launch for ‘The Raja Saab’, Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a similarly chaotic situation in Hyderabad this Sunday. Videos circulating on Reddit and Instagram showed the actress, dressed in an elegant silk saree, attempting to make her way from the stage to her car. Despite being flanked by a security team, the crowd proved nearly uncontrollable, making it difficult for her to move through the venue.

Remarkably, Samantha Ruth Prabhu managed to maintain her composure and kept a smile on her face throughout the ordeal.

The incident has sparked heated discussions online, with many users slamming the “pathetic” behaviour of the crowd and questioning why boundaries are repeatedly ignored. Commenters questioned why celebrity management teams seemed unprepared for such large turnouts despite these incidents becoming common.

Netizens pointed to a dangerous trend of "celebrity worship," citing past chaotic events involving stars like Allu Arjun, Virat Kohli, and Thalapathy Vijay.

Many expressed concern that this level of devotion often leads to fans either harming themselves or the celebrities they admire.

The incident comes at a busy time for Samantha Ruth Prabhu, both personally and professionally. On December 1, Samantha tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in an intimate Linga Bhairava Vivaha ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. She recently confirmed the news with heart-warming photos of the ceremony on social media.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently filming the highly anticipated series ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’. Directed by Raj & DK, the project boasts a powerhouse cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The series is slated for a 2026 premiere.
