The trailer for Kareena Kapoor-starrer 'The Buckingham Murders' is out now. The Hansal Mehta directorial, which is slated to release in cinemas on September 13, 2024, will remind you of the popular HBO series 'Mare of Easttown', starring Kate Winslet. The trailer opens with Kareena Kapoor's character of Jasmeet Bamra being introduced. We can then see her being tasked with solving the murder of a 10-year-old child. Kareena's character is also shown to be dealing with grief, following the death of her own child, and her back is against the wall as communal tensions come to the forefront after the arrest of a young Muslim man.

For the unversed, most of the film is in the English language.

For the unversed, 'The Buckingham Murders' premiered at the BFI London Film Festival 2023 and it ended up receiving a standing ovation. ‘The Buckingham Murders’ was also played as the opening film at Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023. 

'The Buckingham Murders' has been written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker.

For the first time, Kareena Kapoor has turned producer, and she is bankrolling the film, along with Balaji Telefilms, TBM Films, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa Kapoor. The movie also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen.

Kareena Kapoor was last seen in 'Crew', alongside Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Kapil Sharma, and Diljit Dosanjh. The movie did a business of more than Rs 80 crore in India. 

Kareena Kapoor will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', alongside Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone. The upcoming Hindi film is slated to be released in cinemas on Diwali 2024.
