From 'Deadpool & Wolverine' To 'Kung Fu Panda 4': List Of All Trailers Released During Super Bowl 2024
Super Bowl 2024: Some of the highly-anticipated movies came out with their trailers.
Super Bowl is an annual extravaganza and apart from sports fans, cinema lovers also wait for the event with bated breath. You will ask why. It is because several high-profile Hollywood movies come out with their trailer on Super Bowl day and the 2024 edition was no different as films like 'Deadpool & Wolverine', 'Kung Fu Panda 4', 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes', and 'Wicked' came out with their trailers.
Here is the list of some of the trailers that were released during Super Bowl 2024:
1. Deadpool & Wolverine
The trailer confirmed that Ryan Reynolds' anti-hero character 'Deadpool' will be entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The clip also confirmed that the Time Variance Authority (multi-verse hopping organisation at the centre of Disney+'s 'Loki') will be playing an important role in the film. In the trailer, the face of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine wasn't shown, but we know that he is there in the film. The film is slated to release in cinemas on July 26, 2024.
2. Kung Fu Panda 4
The newly-released snippet showcases the character of Po assembling an army of "best crooks and criminals" to confront his adversary, the Chameleon. In the film, the villain is seeking to possess the Kung Fu of every master villain for the ultimate power. The film is slated to release in cinemas on March 8.
3. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
The trailer hints that the plot of the upcoming film will be a continuation from the events of the previous film. In the new movie, we will see apes as the dominant species while humans struggle as the subservient underclass. The film is slated to release in theatres on May 10, 2024.
4. Wicked
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo star in this film. The film directed by Jon M Chu, also stars Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero. Cynthia is playing the character of Elphaba while Ariana Grande dons the hat of Glinda the Good Witch.
5. Despicable Me 4
The new Hollywood film features a star-studded cast including Sofia Vergara, Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Chloe Fineman, Stephen Colbert, and Joey King. The latest installment of the popular franchise will see Gru and Lucy navigating parenthood. However, all hell breaks loose when old enemies Maxime Le Mal (Ferrell) and his girlfriend Valentina show up. The film is slated to release in cinemas later this year.
6. The Fall Guy
Directed by David Leitch, the film stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a longtime stuntman who’s working on a movie made by his ex-girlfriend (Emily Blunt). The film is slated to release in cinemas on May 3, 2024.
Apart from these, the trailers for 'Twisters' and 'If' were also released.
Super Bowl 2024 was eventually won by Kansas City Chiefs. The game was attended by the likes of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Blake Lively and rapper Ice Spice.
