Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor has given fans a sneak peek into her recent birthday festivities, and it’s clear this was no ordinary celebration. Ditching traditional birthday aesthetics, the young star opted for a delightfully wicked, all-black "witches" theme for her special day. Taking to Instagram to share a massive carousel of photos and videos, Shanaya captioned her post, "Best birthday with my witches!!!!," perfectly setting the tone for the glamorous and spooky night.

The centrepiece of the celebration was an intricately designed birthday cake. The white-frosted dessert was elegantly adorned with decorative gold stars and featured the cheeky, thematic phrase, "Witches don't age" piped in thick gold lettering across the top. Shanaya was captured leaning over the gorgeous table setting to blow out a single candle on the cake.

Speaking of the table setting, the decor was a masterclass in moody elegance. The dining area was transformed with a long, banquet-style table covered in a delicate black lace tablecloth. The tablescape contrasted dark, gothic elements with romantic touches, featuring stark black plates and chic gold cutlery alongside thick, glowing white pillar candles. Running down the centre of the table was a striking, lush arrangement of vibrant red roses. Adding a deeply personal touch to the dinner, each guest’s seat was marked with a custom photo name card featuring pictures of the attendees in witch hats.

The guest list fully embraced the coven dress code. Shanaya looked stunning in a black dress accented with sheer lace panels. The party included several close friends, with Suhana Khan matching the vibe in a sleek black slip dress featuring gold hardware on the straps. Suhana clearly loved the bash, commenting "The besttt" on the Instagram post.
Ananya Panday delivered a standout fashion moment by wearing a custom black t-shirt playfully printed with a cute childhood photograph of Shanaya herself. The theme was fully brought to life as the attendees sported pointed black velvet witch hats while enjoying their dinner and cocktails. Khushi Kapoor and Anjini Dhawan were also spotted in black outfits for the glamorous birthday celebration.
The commitment to the Halloween-esque theme extended straight to the catering. In one snapshot, waitstaff can be seen serving appetizers on a heavily themed black tray, complete with a prop severed skeleton hand, a fake eyeball, and a large kitchen knife spattered with fake blood. A small menu card on the spooky tray highlighted a dish of "Chicken Roast With Cucumber Ceviche".
Beyond the dinner, the night was packed with entertainment. Shanaya shared a video of an illusionist performing an up-close card trick for her in the dimly lit room, an act that left her and her friends gasping in shock. Other snaps show the birthday girl playfully posing with a massive fake black spider and laughing brightly with her friends under a grand chandelier.
While the bash was heavily focused on her inner circle of friends, family still played a part. Sanjay Kapoor jokingly took to the comments section of the post to write, "Wish I was invited too, I was in the room 100 feet away". However, another photograph showed that he did eventually get his moment with the birthday girl, posing for a warm group portrait with Shanaya and other family members next to the cake.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shanaya will next be seen in her highly anticipated OTT debut ‘Student of the Year: After Dark’, which is set to premiere on JioHotstar on November 13.
