The trailer for 'Little Mermaid' is out!

Disney has debuted the trailer for 'The Little Mermaid' and Halle Bailey looks astonishing. In the new Hollywood movie, the viewers will be taken under the seas to see their beloved characters in a stunning live-action Hollywood film. The latest Hollywood movie has been directed by Rob Marshall and Halle Bailey will star in the flick, playing the role of Ariel. The soundtrack of the new Hollywood movie has been created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken. For the unversed, these two had also written the score for the original 1989 'Little Mermaid' film.

The trailer for the Hollywood film was presented by Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, during the 95th Academy Awards. 

In the two minutes-long trailer, a glimpse has been given into the underwater world. The story revolves around Ariel, who has a zeal for adventure.

Ariel is the youngest daughter of King Triton and she wants to explore the world which goes beyond water. The trailer also shows how she ends up falling for Prince Eric. 

The original 'Little Mermaid' had released in 1989, and it told the story of a teenage mermaid princess named Ariel, who dreams of becoming human and how she ends up falling in love with a human prince named Eric, which leads her to make a magic deal with the sea witch, Ursula, to become human and be with him.

In 2022, the Hollywood film was also selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. 

The cast for the new Hollywood movie includes Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina, Jacob Tremblay voicing Flounder, Daveed Diggs voicing Sebastian and Awkwafina voicing Scuttle, reported Variety.

'The Little Mermaid' is slated to release in the theatres on May 26.
