In what has become the most wholesome pre-show tradition of 2025, American singer Nick Jonas has once again broken the internet by embracing his ‘Desi’ side. On Wednesday, December 31, the singer shared a video that quickly went viral, featuring himself and his brothers, Joe and Kevin, grooving to the title track of the 2004 Bollywood blockbuster ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. The choice of song was particularly sentimental for fans, as the track featured Nick’s wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

The video captured the chaotic and energetic energy of the Jonas Brothers’ backstage area. Dressed in a blue jacket and a red bandana – giving a subtle nod to the vibrant styling of Bollywood – Nick took centre stage. He captioned the post: “Another show means another night educating the guys on some of my favorite Hindi hype songs #mujhseshadikarogi.”

While Nick and Kevin Jonas were seen fully committing to the rhythm – clapping, spinning, and attempting some classic Bollywood-style hand gestures – it was Joe Jonas who became the unexpected star of the reel.

Standing slightly to the right, Joe maintained a perfectly deadpan expression, looking directly into the camera while casually peeling and eating a banana. The stark contrast between Nick’s high-energy dancing and Joe’s “just another day at the office” nonchalance added a layer of humour that fans couldn't get enough of. The crew members in the background joined the fray, turning the small dressing room into a mini Bollywood dance floor.

The video didn't just stay in the Jonas circle. Priyanka Chopra Jonas was quick to show her support, re-sharing the clip on her Instagram Stories. While she let the video speak for itself without any caption, her pride in “National Jiju” (the nickname affectionately given to Nick by Indian fans) was evident.

The Indian fans, as expected, reacted with a mix of hilarity and warmth. One user wrote, “Somebody please get this man an Aadhaar card already.” Another one added, “Jiju is more Desi than we are at this point.”

“Joe eating the banana is a whole mood,” a comment read.

This wasn’t just a one-off moment; it’s part of a growing Hindi Hype playlist that Nick has been curating for the band's current tour. Over the past month, Nick shared clips vibing to ‘Aavan Jaavan’ from ‘War 2’ and ‘Shararat’ from the movie ‘Dhurandhar’, proving that he has been deep-diving into the world of Indian music.

Nick Jonas’s consistent appreciation for Indian cinema and music has made him a beloved figure in India. By choosing a song from one of Priyanka’s most iconic early films, he didn't just hype himself up for a concert; he celebrated his wife’s legacy and further cemented his status as the favourite son-in-law of the Indian film industry.

Whether he’s collaborating with artists like King on ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ or teaching his brothers the hook steps to 20-year-old Bollywood classics, Nick Jonas continues to prove that music truly has no borders.
