Katrina Kaif has been in the film industry for more than two decades, and she gave her biggest acclaimed performance in 2024's 'Merry Christmas'. The Sriram Raghavan film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. The crime-thriller released in cinemas in January. The movie was not able to become a box office hit, but no one can deny the overwhelming reviews 'Merry Christmas' received. But did you know that during her initial days in the industry, Katrina Kaif's role from a major movie was cut?

Yes, you read that right. Recently, Katrina Kaif revealed that her role from Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' was cut. For the unversed, 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' followed Ranbir Kapoor's character as he ends up falling in love with different women in different stages of his life. Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu an Minissha Lamba star in the movie with the 'Pathaan' actress playing the main love interest.

Katrina Kaif has revealed that she was supposed to play the fourth girl in the film but her part was eventually cut.

“I was the fourth girl, that character got cut," Katrina Kaif told Mid-Day.

When 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' was in the making, Katrina Kaif was in the initial stages of her career, but she had already appeared in movies like 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya', 'Partner', and 'Namastey London'.

For the unversed, 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' was directed by 'Pathaan' and 'Fighter' filmmaker Siddharth Anand. The movie had turned out to be a huge commercial success at that time. 

“I have so many memories of people telling me to my face that you will not make it, you cannot succeed,” said Katrina.

During the same conversation, Katrina Kaif also shared that she wanted to play Anushka Sharma's role in Aanand L Rai's 2018-film 'Zero', which also starred Shah Rukh Khan.

It is important to mention that 'Zero' might have tanked at the box office, but the movie is remembered for Katrina Kaif's powerful performance.
