The world cannot stop talking about Virat Kohli. The former India cricket team captain played a knock of 117 runs off 113 balls to help India win against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. With this knock, Virat Kohli broke the record of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, and as a result, he now has the most number of ODI centuries.

After Virat Kohli completed his 50th ODI century, he pulled off his helmet, and he bowed down to his "hero" Sachin Tendulkar who was sitting in the stands at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Virat Kohli then also blew a kiss to his wife Anushka Sharma.

In the latest entertainment news, actress Kangana Ranaut has praised the humility of Virat Kohli, and she labelled him as a "great man."

"How wonderful!! It's also the great precedent set by Mr Kohli how he would like to be treated by those who break his records, they must worship the earth he walks on... That's what he deserves, great man with astonishing self worth and character," Kangana Ranaut wrote on Instagram Story.

Virat Kohli has been in phenomenal form in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, and in 10 matches, he has managed to score 711 runs. The right-handed batter is currently the leading run-scorer in the ongoing tournament. During the competition, Virat Kohli broke another record of Sachin Tendulkar, and he has now scored the most number of runs in a single edition of a 50-over World Cup.

After India's innings came to an end in the semi-final against New Zealand, Virat Kohli gave an interview to the official broadcaster, in which he talked about breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar, and how it felt to have Anushka Sharma in attendance for the match.

“As I said stuff of dreams. Anushka was sitting right there, Sachin paaji was here too. Difficult to explain this. If I could paint a perfect picture I would want this to be the picture. My life partner, the person I love the most is sitting there, my hero is sitting there and I was able to get the 50th in front of all of them and all these stands in Wankhede as well, such a history venue so it was amazing," Kohli told Star Sports.

Team India had defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semi-final while Australia defeated South Africa by three wickets in the second semi-final.

India and Australia will now square off in the Cricket World Cup 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
