Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's 'Game Changer' is struggling at the box office as the pan-India film is yet to go past the Rs 100 crore mark in India. The Shankar-directorial hit the theatres on January 10. Despite minting more than Rs 50 crore on the opening day of its release, across all languages, the film struggled on subsequent days. The poor word-of-mouth has also slowed down the film’s momentum at the ticket counters. ‘Game Changer’ is performing poorly in the Southern belt.
It is fair to say that it is the Hindi version that is keeping the film afloat at the box office. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Game Changer’ earned Rs 17 crore across all languages on Sunday, the third day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film stands at Rs 89.60 crore.
Out of Rs 89.6 crore, the Telugu version has contributed Rs 61.75 crore, while the Hindi version has made Rs 22.50 crore. Earlier, the film had earned Rs 51 crore on Day 1, while the second day earnings were reported to be Rs 21.6 crore.
The dip in collections can also be attributed to the release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 'Daaku Maharaaj', the second Sankranthi release of 2025. 'Daaku Maharaaj' released in cinemas on Sunday and earned Rs 22.50 crore on the opening day of its release.
'Game Changer' is also in the middle of a huge controversy as trade analysts reported the film's collection to be around Rs 85 crore worldwide on Day 1. However, the makers announced Day 1 collection as Rs 185 crore worldwide and they are now being slammed for showing inflated box office numbers.
'Game Changer' witnessed the biggest dip in the Telugu version. The film, which opened at more than Rs 40 crore in Telugu, earned Rs 20.5 crore over the next two days.
As per several reports, the budget of 'Game Changer' is more than Rs 400 crore. Looking at the domestic collection, the film might be deemed as a flop in India.
Speaking of Sonu Sood-directorial 'Fateh', which released in cinemas on the same day as 'Game Changer', the film earned Rs 2.10 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 6.60 crore.
