After minting Rs 21 crore on Day 1, across all languages, the new Hollywood film recorded yet another Rs 20 crore+ day, and as a result, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is now nearing the Rs 50 crore mark. For the unversed, the new movie had earlier recorded the best opening for any Hollywood film in 2024 in India.
As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' minted Rs 23.99 crore on Saturday, the second day of its release. Out of this Rs 23.99 crore, Rs 14 crore came from the English version, while the Hindi version contributed Rs 8.19 crore.
The total nett domestic collection of 'Deadpool & Wolverine' now stands at Rs 44.99 crore. It is safe to say that the film will be going past the Rs 50 crore later today.
As per a report in Deadline, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is looking at an opening weekend collection of USD 420 million, worldwide.
'Deadpool & Wolverine' has been directed by Shawn Levy, and the film also stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Morena Baccarin in important roles. The film also features some star-studded cameos.
Dhanush's new Tamil film 'Raayan' was also released in cinemas on Friday (July 26), and as per Sacnilk, the newly-released film which Dhanush himself has directed, earned Rs 13.85 crore on Saturday, the second day of its release. The two-day total of the film now stands at Rs 27.50 crore.
Coming to Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk-starrer 'Bad Newz', released in cinemas last week, earned Rs 3.25 crore on Saturday, the ninth day of its release. The film's domestic collection now stands at Rs 48.25 crore.
Talking about Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira', released in cinemas on July 12, minted Rs 0.33 crore on Saturday, the 16th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi movie now stands at Rs 23.07 crore.
Coming to Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the pan-India film minted Rs 2.75 crore on Saturday (31st day of its release), as per Sacnilk. The total domestic film collection now stands at Rs 627.85 crore. The film now needs Rs 13 crore more to breach the domestic tally of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.
Lastly, speaking of Raghav Juyal and Lakshya's 'Kill', which has been backed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, minted Rs 0.40 crore on Saturday (the 23rd day of its release). As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film currently stands at Rs 22.28 crore.
