WTC final, India vs Australia: Virat Kohli managed to score 49 runs in the final innings before his innings was cut short by Scott Boland. Now, Anushka Sharma's reaction to the dismissal has gone viral.
Before the start of Day 5 of the World Test Championship (WTC) final, the Indian fans had their hopes pinned on Virat Kohli to help the side chase down 444 runs to win an ICC title after a gap of 10 years. However, it was not to be, as Virat Kohli lost his wicket within the first hour of play to Scott Boland and this paved the way for an Australian win.
Virat Kohli flashed at a delivery which was bowled way outside the off stump, and Steve Smith took a spectacular catch, and hence, the right-handed batter walked back to the pavilion after scoring 49 runs.
As soon as Kohli was dismissed, the camera panned to Anushka Sharma, who was sitting in the stands, and her dejected expression conveyed the emotions of all the cricket enthusiasts in India.

Talking about the WTC final, India lost the match against Australia by 209 runs after being bundled out for 234 in the final innings.
Virat Kohli top-scored with a knock of 49. However, his dismissal did not please former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, and he went on to criticise him heavily.
Talking to broadcaster Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said: "It was a bad shot. You should ask Kohli what shot he played. He talks so much about how to win a match you need a long innings. How are you going to do that if you play a ball so far outside the offstump?”
