Varun Dhawan is ready to showcase his most massy avatar yet as he is all set to play an action hero in ‘Baby John’, which is set to release in cinemas on December 25, 2024. The trailer for the Kalees directorial, which is being backed by ‘Jawan’ fame Atlee, was unveiled on Monday evening. The trailer is garnering positive responses from all corners. It looks like even Shah Rukh Khan is mighty impressed with the film’s trailer, which is more than 3 minutes long.

The Bollywood superstar took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise the trailer, calling it an “exciting” watch.

Sharing the trailer link, SRK wrote, “What an exciting trailer. Well done really looking forward to seeing the film….@kalees_dir your #BabyJohn is everything like u. Energetic and full of action. @Atlee_dir go forth and conquer now as a producer. Love u. @Varun_dvn I am so happy to see u like this, all tough. @bindasbhidu deadly u look Jaggu da… @keerthyofficial #WamiqaGabbi all the best…. Atlee and Keerthy Suresh also thanked SRK on social media for giving a shoutout to ‘Baby John’.

On Monday, at the trailer launch event of ‘Baby John’, Atlee who is the writer and producer of the film, thanked Shah Rukh Khan with whom he collaborated for ‘Jawan’.

“Shah Rukh Khan sir, without him, I wouldn’t have made it to Bollywood or directed a film. Now, I’m producing a film because of his support. Wherever you are, please bless us,” he said at the event.

The trailer launch event of ‘Baby John’ was attended by Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, director Kalees and producer Atlee. The event also saw producers Murad Khetani and Jyoti Deshpande, and music composer S. Thaman in attendance.

Speaking about Shah Rukh Khan, he will next lend his voice to the Hindi version of Disney's 'Mufasa: The Lion King', slated for release in Indian theatres on December 20.

SRK will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's 'King', alongside Suhana Khan. The film will reportedly also star Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma. It is being jointly bankrolled by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures.

SRK was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki'. The superstar had delivered three hits in 2023 in the form of 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'.

'Pathaan' marked Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screen after a gap of more than four years after his 2018 film ‘Zero’ tanked at the box office.
