'The Archies' Director Zoya Akhtar Reveals Hidden Talent Of Suhana Khan
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan will be making her debut with Zoya Akhtar's ‘The Archies’.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan will be making her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's ‘The Archies’, which is set to release on Netflix on December 7. There is a lot of anticipation surrounding Suhana Khan's film debut. The new Netflix movie will also mark the debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor. In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Zoya Akhtar talked about Suhana Khan, and the ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ director had some high praise for the young actress.
“She’s such a little firebrand and she’s so talented. I don’t think she’ll have much problem,” Zoya Akhtar told Pinkvilla.
Zoya Akhtar also revealed that Suhana Khan "sings well", and this is a talent of hers that not many people know. The director also said that Suhana Khan goes by the nickname ‘Su’.
Talking about ‘The Archies’, it is an Indian live-action musical movie based on the popular American comics of the same name. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina are also a part of the cast of ‘The Archies’.
Giving a peek into the roles of Agastya Nanda, Aditi Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda, Zoya Akhtar said, "The charmer of the seven, I think it's actually Archie. Veronica is the most hardworking. I would say maybe Dilton is the best dancer. Reggie has the most swag of them all."
"There's no diva. Party animal, maybe Dilton, because he's the youngest. Archie is the most mischievous on set. Betty is the most stylish. Reggie cannot pass a mirror without looking into it," she added.
In the film, Suhana Khan will essay the character of Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda of Archie Andrews and Khushi Kapoor of Betty Cooper. Vedang Raina will be seen as Reggie Mantle, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones and Aditi Dot as Ethel Muggs.
‘The Archies’ will release on Netflix on December 7. The movie has been co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Sharad Devarajan under their production houses Tiger Baby and Graphic India.
