It was a star-studded afternoon in Mumbai as Arjun Tendulkar, the son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, tied the knot with entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok in a grand ceremony on Thursday. The wedding drew an impressive guest list from across the worlds of cinema, sports, business and politics, with Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan among the many prominent attendees.
Shah Rukh Khan arrived at the wedding with his wife, interior designer Gauri Khan, and their daughter, actress Suhana Khan. The trio quickly became the centre of attention as pictures and videos of them from the event went viral online.
SRK opted for an elegant ivory bandhgala, while Gauri and Suhana coordinated their outfits in shades of yellow. Gauri chose a shimmering yellow sequinned saree, while Suhana looked graceful in an ivory-and-yellow lehenga. Before heading inside the venue, the family paused to pose for photographs.
Notably, Aryan Khan, who has recently been making headlines for a rumoured project with HBO after his debut with Netflix’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, was not present at the celebration.
Fans flooded social media with praise for the Khan family’s appearance at the wedding. One user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a photo and wrote, “The King with his royal family. Shah Rukh Khan attending Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding function with his loved ones — grace, legacy and pure royalty in one frame.”
Another post highlighted Shah Rukh greeting photographers with his signature salaam, calling it “the royal salaam from the King” and praising the star’s enduring charisma. A different fan posted a paparazzi video of the trio, remarking that it felt like “Bollywood royalty just walked in.” Others added comments such as “When the King arrives, the spotlight follows,” while one admirer noted that Shah Rukh still carries the “peak male beauty aura” from his 1990s era.
Actor Aamir Khan was also among the distinguished guests present at the ceremony. He kept his look traditional in a classic red kurta paired with white pyjamas and briefly acknowledged photographers before making his way inside the venue.
The wedding festivities were hosted by Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar, who welcomed several notable personalities to celebrate the union. Apart from Shah Rukh and Aamir, the guest list featured many big names from Bollywood, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, singer Asha Bhosle and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, among others.
Several legendary figures from Indian cricket also attended the ceremony. Former India captain MS Dhoni, former head coach Rahul Dravid, legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh were present, along with former cricketer and Karnataka State Cricket Association president Venkatesh Prasad.
Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok exchanged vows in Mumbai on Thursday morning. A host of celebrities from the film and cricketing worlds were seen arriving at the venue, including MS Dhoni, Anil Kumble, Suresh Raina and others, many accompanied by their spouses.
Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok share a long-standing family connection, as their families have known each other for years. Sachin Tendulkar has also been acquainted with Saaniya’s grandfather, Ravi Ghai, for decades. While Arjun continues to pursue his cricketing career – playing domestic cricket for Mumbai and representing Mumbai Indians in the IPL – Saaniya has made a name for herself as an entrepreneur with a successful pet spa chain. The couple were reportedly introduced by Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar, and what began as a friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship.
