Bollywood’s beloved power couple, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, have finally ended the suspense and introduced their baby girl to the world. On Friday, the new parents took to Instagram to officially reveal that they have christened their daughter Saraayah Malhotra. Accompanying the heart-warming name reveal was a tender photograph of the couple gently holding their daughter’s tiny feet. The emotional caption read: “From our prayers, to our arms our divine blessing, our princess, Saraayah Malhotra.”

The post was immediately flooded with congratulations from fans and industry friends. While the couple did not explicitly explain the origin of the unique name, multiple sources suggest it is likely inspired by the Hebrew word Sarah, which translates to “princess,” fitting perfectly with the sentiment in their caption.
Sidharth and Kiara, who tied the knot in a grand fairytale ceremony in Jaisalmer in 2023, first announced the arrival of their baby girl on July 16 with a note declaring their "hearts are full."
Following the birth, the celebrity couple issued a polite but firm request to the media and paparazzi. They sent out a note asking photographers to refrain from clicking pictures of their newborn, stating, “We’re so grateful for all the love and wishes; our hearts are truly full. As we take our first steps into this new journey of parenthood, we hope to enjoy it intimately as a family. It would mean a lot to us if this special time could stay private. The couple, who famously fell in love while working on the 2021 war drama ‘Shershaah’, have faced a turbulent run professionally this year. Kiara Advani was last seen in the high-budget spy action thriller ‘War 2’. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and featuring heavyweights Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, the film received a largely negative response from audiences and critics.
Sidharth Malhotra’s recent release ‘Param Sundari’, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, hit theatres on August 29. However, the film, directed by Tushar Jalota, failed to work at the box office. Sidharth is next slated to appear in a horror movie titled ‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’, also featuring Tamannaah Bhatia.
