The video quickly spread on social media, with fans praising him as a “true gentleman.” One fan wrote, “No one can be a better gentleman than SRK. Every time.” Another commented, “Ek hi toh dil hai, kitna bar jeetoge SRK babu.” Many also recalled their chemistry in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, calling the moment pure nostalgia.
Another video showed the tables turn when SRK struggled to untangle his medal ribbon. Seated beside him, Rani stepped in to help her friend, carefully adjusting the medal around his neck. The two broke into laughter as Rani even switched on her selfie camera to show him the medal once it was properly fixed.
Fans adored the exchange, with comments like, “They are acting like kids. A medal at any age feels different,” and, “Nursery babies fixing their school I-cards.” Others wrote, “That is called friendship,” and, “Behaving like kids. This shows how important this award is.”
The awards marked a milestone in both actors’ careers. After more than three decades in cinema, Shah Rukh Khan won Best Actor for his role in Atlee’s blockbuster ‘Jawan’, while Rani Mukerji took home the Best Actress award for her performance in ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’.
Actor Vikrant Massey also shared the Best Actor honour with SRK for his role in ‘12th Fail’.
The ceremony also honoured Malayalam superstar Mohanlal with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to cinema since 1980. Mohanlal, SRK, and Rani shared warm moments together at the event, with pictures of their greetings circulating widely. One showed Shah Rukh and Mohanlal hugging as Rani smiled nearby, while another captured the two legends holding each other close in conversation.
