Salman Khan Suffers Multiple Injuries During Ladakh Shoot For ‘Battle Of Galwan’, Returns To Mumbai
Braving Ladakh’s extreme cold and injuries, Salman Khan returned to Mumbai to rest and gear up for the crucial new schedule of ‘Battle of Galwan’.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was last seen on the silver screen in ‘Sikandar’, recently wrapped a demanding schedule in the icy landscapes of Ladakh while shooting for ‘Battle of Galwan’. He is now gearing up to resume work on the upcoming highly anticipated action drama. The second schedule is set to begin next week in Mumbai and is expected to be one of the most crucial phases of the film, weaving together adrenaline-fueled action with powerfully emotional moments.
According to a Pinkvilla report, the Ladakh leg of the shoot was a true test of stamina and grit for the entire cast and crew. A source close to the production revealed, “Salman Khan and the crew shot at sub-10 degrees in Ladakh. Despite dealing with physical injuries and low oxygen levels, Salman powered through the extreme conditions.” The schedule lasted 45 days, with Salman present for 15 of them, filming a mix of high-octane action and intense dramatic sequences across real locations.
While the actor did sustain minor injuries during the shoot, he continued working before deciding to take a short break to recuperate. The rest period, however, will be brief as Salman is expected to return to the Mumbai schedule soon. This chapter of filming, led by director Apoorva Lakhia, will focus on more intimate and emotional storylines, exploring the heart of the narrative beyond just the action spectacle.
Though the makers have yet to reveal the official release date, an announcement is expected in the near future. The film has already generated significant buzz, thanks to the first-look motion poster unveiled by Salman Khan in July. The striking motion poster introduced fans to one of his most intense avatars yet – bloodied, moustached, and burning with fierce determination, set against a backdrop of patriotic tension and military conflict.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Battle of Galwan’ will revisit the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers – a brutal and rare skirmish fought without firearms, relying solely on hand-to-hand combat. The confrontation claimed lives on both sides and remains etched in India’s recent history as a moment of extraordinary bravery and sacrifice.
The movie will also star Chitrangda Singh alongside Salman Khan. With Salman at the forefront, the film aims to deliver both cinematic thrills and a heartfelt tribute to the courage of Indian soldiers who defended their land under extraordinary circumstances.
Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in ‘Sikandar’, which released in March 2025. It was directed by AR Murugadoss and starred Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and Anjini Dhawan. Apart from films, Salman is currently hosting the 19th season of ‘Bigg Boss’, which premiered on August 24 on JioHotstar.
