On May 1, 2026, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan’s sister, jewellery designer Saba Pataudi, rang in a major life milestone as she celebrated her 50th birthday. Ditching a massive industry blowout, Saba opted for a cozy, intimate family gathering right at home. Days after the special occasion, the birthday girl took to social media to share a sneak peek into the festivities, giving fans a glimpse of her unforgettable day alongside her famous siblings.

The heartwarming afternoon was hosted by none other than her younger sister, Soha Ali Khan, who organised a beautiful birthday lunch. The house was transformed into a festive haven, spectacularly decorated with vibrant and colourful balloons.

The main highlight of the decor was a stunning large display that read “Happy 50th Saba,” perfectly complemented by a giant “50” balloon arrangement to mark the half-century milestone.
A Pataudi get-together is never complete without impeccable fashion, and the attendees certainly delivered. The birthday star of the day, Saba, looked effortlessly elegant in a striking black floral dress that perfectly matched the joyful vibe of the event. Meanwhile, Bollywood’s ultimate power couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, served major couple goals by stylishly twinning in classic white shirts paired with blue denims. The host, Soha Ali Khan, looked chic and vibrant in a stylish blue co-ord set, while her husband, actor Kunal Kemmu, opted for a cool and casual look. A few of Saba's close friends were also on the guest list, adding to the warmth of the afternoon.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the strong sibling bond on display. In a sweet video shared on Instagram, Saba was seen cutting not one, but two decadent birthday cakes! Keeping the sibling rivalry and humour alive, Saif and Soha were captured joking around and playfully teasing their sister during the cake-cutting ceremony, bringing a lot of laughter to the table.
Overflowing with emotion, Saba penned a long, heartfelt gratitude note alongside the photos and videos. She wrote: "1st May 2026! Familia. 50th....Lovin it! There is more to come...but this was a special beginning to a beautiful journey ahead +++ Thank you Soha for hosting this lunch!"
She also made sure to give a special shoutout to the thoughtful gifts she received from her family. Thanking her brother and sister-in-law, she added, "Bebo for the fabulous balloons, card and gift..bhai too! Inni card and jeh baba voice note were gems! All of you for making it special. This year started....on a fabulous note!" Even though it was a house full of love, Saba deeply missed the rest of the clan, concluding her post with, "Missed the boys. Jeh Tim Iggy and of course Sara too! And Amma!! Love you all! Thank uuuuu."
While the family took time off to celebrate, Saif and Kareena are keeping busy on the work front. Fans of Saif Ali Khan can look forward to seeing him next in the Pulkit-directed ‘Kartavya’. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, the project features a stellar cast including Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Dwivedi, and Zakir Hussain, and is slated for a major Netflix release on May 15.
Additionally, Saif Ali Khan has ‘Haiwaan’ in the pipeline, directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Akshay Kumar. On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up for ‘Daayra’, a film directed by Meghna Gulzar and co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, with its official release date yet to be announced.
