Nora Fatehi, who rose to fame with her killer dance moves in Bollywood movies, is grabbing headlines for her controversial remarks on feminism. During a recent podcast with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Nora Fatehi had said that feminism has ruined the society, and that women are "nurturers". Following the podcast, Nora Fatehi is still being bashed for not understanding feminism properly. An excerpt of the podcast video, uploaded on her Instagram page, showed a user schooling her about feminism, and how it enabled women to choose what they want.

“As someone who has a lot of influence it is important that you truly understand what you’re talking about before you talk about it because young girls look up to you. I hope you look into feminism with an open mind. It definitely did not mess up society like you said. @norafatehi,” the user's comment read.

Nora Fatehi has now replied to this comment, and she has further doubled down on her remarks.

She said, “I agree thats why i said i support and agree with the foundation of feminism! What i spoke on was about radicalised feminism and toxic feminism and the extremism of gender roles in our society.”

For the unversed, in the podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Nora Fatehi while talking about feminism said, “This idea of 'I-don't-need-anybody', 'feminism', I don't believe in this s*t. In fact, I think, feminism f***d up our society completely. The idea of being inherently completely independent and not having to get married and have kids and not having the male and female dynamics at home where the man is the provider, a breadwinner and the woman is the nurturer.”

“I don't believe in people who think that. That's not true." Nora continued, "I think women are nurturers. Yes, they should go to work and have their own life and be independent, but to a certain extent,” she added.
