Fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi, who gained popularity after her Cannes debut, expressed her desire to design clothes for Shah Rukh Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

The only Indian who managed to steal the limelight from big Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kiara Advani at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 is Nancy Tyagi. For the unversed, she is a fashion influencer who made her Cannes debut this year and received immense praise from all corners for her outfits. Nancy Tyagi, who hails from a small village in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, wore outfits designed and stitched by her. After turning heads at Cannes 2024, she recently featured on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast.
During her appearance, Nancy Tyagi spoke at length about her journey so far, the struggles she faced and the unreal experience of her Cannes debut. She also expressed her wish to learn how to design men’s outfits so that she can create a coat-pant for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Nancy Tyagi also reacted to Sonam Kapoor’s recent praise and the Bollywood diva’s request to design something for her.
When Ranveer Allahbadia asked her, “Kabhi socha tha Sonam Kapoor aap se kahengi ki mere liye bhi dress banao,” an elated Nancy Tyagi responded, “7 janam tak nahi socha tha.”
Ranveer Allahbadia then asked her, “Aap banaoge?” To which, Nancy Tyagi said, “Haan pakka. Saree banaugi main unke liye.”
On being asked if she has spoken to Sonam Kapoor, the fashion influencer said, “Haan story daali thi… thank you. Bas abhi toh ye he.”
The young fashion influencer also expressed her desire to venture into men's clothing. When asked if she would ever design something for Shah Rukh Khan, she said, “Coat pant banaugi.”
Despite not knowing how to design men’s clothing currently, she expressed her determination to learn it for King Khan. “Nahi, unke liye seekh lungi,” Nancy Tyagi told Ranveer Allahbadia when asked if she knew how to design a coat-pant.
Nancy Tyagi also revealed that she received messages from Arjun Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
After Nancy Tyagi dazzled on the Cannes red carpet in a saree made by her, Sonam Kapoor reposted her Cannes saree-making video on Instagram and wrote, “Best outfit in Cannes. Make me something,” tagging Nancy Tyagi. The fashion influencer thanked Sonam Kapoor for her appreciation.
Nancy Tyagi wore a heavily-frilled powder pink gown weighing nearly 20 kgs on the first day of her Cannes 2024 debut. Her second outfit was a beautifully crafted purple-hued saree with a veil. She sourced the fabric for her outfits from a local market in Delhi.
