Manoj Bajpayee's film 'Joram' has been added to the Oscar library.

Manoj Bajpayee is one of the best actors we have in the country, and he has always had an understated presence about himself. The actor had a memorable 2023 as he featured in three sensational films -- 'Gulmohar', 'Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai', and 'Joram'. Talking about 'Joram', the film was released in theatres on December 8, 2023, and the critics appreciated Manoj Bajpayee for his power-packed performance. In the latest entertainment news, the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has announced the acquisition of the screenplay of 'Joram' for its Permanent Core Collection.

The development was confirmed by actor Manoj Bajpayee on his social media account. 

"Here's another page-turning triumph for #Joram! The screenplay becomes a cherished chapter in the core collection of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences library," Manoj Bajpayee wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Apart from Manoj Bajpayee, the film also stars Mohd. Zeeshan Ayub, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Smita Tambe. The movie has been directed by Devashish Makhija.

This is the third collaboration between Makhija and Bajpayee after the 2016-short film 'Taandav' and 2018 film 'Bhonsle'.

We are thrilled to see the film’s screenplay become a part of the Academy Library’s Permanent Core Collection. This recognition from such a prestigious institution is rare, precious, and humbling. Our sincere thanks to the Academy," writer-Director Devashish Makhija was quoted as saying by News18.

Coming back to Manoj Bajpayee, his latest web series 'Killer Soup', premiered on Netflix on Thursday, January 11.

The series which also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, has been receiving glowing reviews.
