Taking to Instagram to share her excitement, the star posted a heartfelt note alongside her glamorous snapshots: “Back in Melbourne after a year! Stealing the spotlight at the festival's main event, Malaika served major ethnic glamour in a heavily embroidered golden saree. She elevated the traditional drape by pairing it with a matching, heavily embellished floor-length cape and a statement choker necklace.

In the video and a series of grand theatre lobby photos, the actress can be seen graciously interacting with a massive crowd of fans gathered behind red-rope barricades. Holding a festival folder and mic on stage in one moment, and smiling for countless fan selfies in the next, Malaika completely commanded the venue. She was also photographed posing on the red carpet alongside festival director Mitu Bhowmick Lange, marking a triumphant and stylish return to the event.
